Shell s Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970. This video is a golf match between Jimmy Demaret and Sam Snead played at the Eisenhower Golf Course on the US Air Force Base in Colorado and originally aired on February 26, 1966. This was a classic rematch between two of golf s biggest names during the thirties, forties, and fifties. Jimmy Demaret was the first golfer to win three Masters titles. He also had 12 PGA Tour victories and played on 4 Ryder Cup Teams. He was quite a character and had enormous charm. Sam Snead has 81 PGA Tour titles. His quick wit and down-home personality made him one of golf s most beloved champions. In a PGA Tour career that spanned four decades, he won three Masters titles, three PGA Championships and the 1946 British Open.
